The town of Kings Langley is located in the county of Hertfordshire. It is governed by two different local authorities – The borough of Dacorum and the Three Rivers District. It is famous as the area where the first Duke of York, Edmund of Langley, is buried. It is believed that the ancestors of US President Jimmy Carter lived in the area between the 14th and 16th centuries. Luke Donald, the leading golfer in the world, also calls Kings Langley home. The Church of All Saints is one of the most well known landmarks in the region and is the main building around which the town of Kings Langley was built.

Home Park Industrial Estate is the primary commercial hub in the town, housing numerous businesses and serviced offices. The global company Renewable Energy Systems is also located here, occupying an area that was once home to the famous Ovaltine factory. Local retail spaces such as hair salons, bookshops, wine merchants, newsagents, boutiques and florists also have a presence in the area and do profitable business throughout the year.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The Hertfordshire Delta Force Paintball gaming centre is a well-frequented entertainment venue in the vicinity, offering a chance to indulge in some healthy competition with friends. Once the fun and games are over, you can head to the Rose & Crown or to The Old Palace bars. Dalling & Co. serves superb European food in the area and is a must-visit eatery when in Kings Langley. Even if you do not have time for a full meal, it is worth a stop here simply for the fabulous coffee. The Cart and Horses serves great fish and chips, while the Taste of India is popular for its curries.

Transport Information

Kings Langley is the main station in the area, providing access to services on the West Coast Main Line. Destinations such as London and Birmingham can be reached through these services. The area is well connected to other parts of Hertfordshire through numerous road networks, as well as main motorways that provide connectivity to London. Heathrow Airport is the closest for international transfers and can be reached either by train or by road.
