Quebec is a province located in eastern Canada. It is the largest province in the country by size and the second largest by population. It borders the provinces of Ontario, Newfoundland, Labrador, New Brunswick, the territory of Nunavut, and the American states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The official language of the province is French. Quebec has saved its Francophone traditions, which contributes to it being a popular tourist destination. Quebec City is the capital of the area and has more than five hundred thousand inhabitants. It only follows Montreal, in size. The most famous landmark of Quebec City is the Château Frontenac.

Business Information

The major industries of Quebec City include public administration, defence and security, manufacturing, services, trade, tourism, and transport. The provincial government is the largest employer with the local hospitals coming in second. The city is a home to many large corporations, including Desjardins Group, Roch, Ubisoft, and AeternaZentaris. There are many locations throughout the province of Quebec for office space.

Quebec offers a lot of diverse and authentic cuisine, based on the mixture of different cultural communities that immigrated to the area. Many regionally made products are also used in the cuisine. Quebec is famous for its cheeses, wine, ice-cider, and micro-brewed beer. The specialties of the area are maple syrup, sugar snack, and shepherd’s pie.
