Toorak is a suburb of Melbourne which resides in the Australian state of Victoria. It is located 5 km (3 miles) south east of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Toorak is part of the local government area of Stonnington city. Toorak is situated on a rise on the south side of a bend in the Yarra River. It is bordered by South Yarra, Malvern, Prahran, Armadale, Richmond, and Hawthorn. Long recognised as an upscale and prestigious suburb, Toorak has the highest average property values in Melbourne. This is one of the most exclusive suburbs in Australia. The commercial area of Toorak Village is located on Toorak Road.
