Brighton is a suburb of Melbourne, in the Australian state of Victoria. It is located 11 km (7 miles) south from Melbourne’s central business district. The suburb is named after the English city of the same name. Its Local Government Area is City of Bayside. Brighton is bordered by the suburbs Elwood and Hampton.
