Office security is a cost-effective method for businesses
Security could be the answer when considering a business’ continuity and ensuring low crime costs within London office spaces. A secure office location can lead to cheaper insurance, according to the Business Crime Reduction Centre (BCRC).
Adrian Platts, a spokesperson from the BCRC, says that, "Many security measures are cost free and are related to 'practice and procedures' within the business, for example removing climbing aids or making sure visitors are properly checked in and out of the building".
Platts highlights that ensuring office spaces are secure is not a costly procedure; in fact, it can be financially detrimental to opt for a London office space without suitable security.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) conducted research which demonstrated that two-thirds of small offices were subject to crime in 2010. The importance of security is illustrated through the companies’ subsequent loss of on average £3,000 each.
