Client in the Spotlight: Amido

At Office Freedom, we're innovating the way people look for workspace, and part of this process involves building lasting relationships with our clients. Every month, we're shining the spotlight on some of the companies we've helped find the perfect office. Our inaugural installment focuses on Amido, an independent tech consultancy that specialises in implementing cloud-first solutions.

Amido, winner of the 'Most Innovative Emerging Technology' category at the recent UK Cloud Awards, help their clients build resilience at scale, flexibility for the future and differentiation of customer experience. And importantly, they do this while minimising business-risk and build-cost.

Gemma Ridley is Amido's Financial Controller and is responsible for the financial management side of the business. Earlier this year, she contacted Office Freedom when searching for a new office to accommodate her growing team. With the help of our Commercial Director David Garson, she ended up finding the perfect space - Business Cube in Shoreditch.

We caught up with Gemma shortly after Amido moved in to see how they settled in.

Hi Gemma! Why did Amido decide to search for a new HQ earlier this year?

Amido has grown rapidly over the past three years and had out grown it’s current space in SE1.

What prompted Amido to relocate to the Shoreditch area?

We relocated to the Shoreditch area to help develop, grow and attract the right talent – this area is a hub for tech businesses.

You worked closely with our consultant David to find your new office - Business Cube on Worship Street. How would you describe working with David?

David listened to our needs and arranged a great selection of potential properties. His approach was very calm, we never felt under pressure to make a decision and he also helped with negotiations.

Of all the options out there, why did you choose Business Cube in the end?

It was all down to the location and the type/size of space. As it was a refurbed office, we could design everything we wanted from scratch. Also, the owners of Business Cube made everything seamless -they're great to work with.

Its proximity to Silicon Roundabout makes it a breeding ground for anyone working in tech, and its community vibe is a big incentive for those looking for inspiration. As East End residents, Amido reveals the best places to eat, shop, socialise and chill in London's coolest business location.
